Voice Commands

Voice commands let you control formatting and navigation using your voice while dictating.

Overview

Voice commands are triggered by speaking specific phrases during dictation. They can be used to:

  • Add punctuation without stopping
  • Insert line breaks and paragraphs
  • Delete or undo text
  • Navigate your transcription

Built-in Commands

Punctuation

Enabling Voice Commands

Voice commands are enabled by default. To toggle:

  1. Right-click the QuasarSpeak tray icon
  2. Select Settings
  3. Go to Speech to Text
  4. Toggle Voice Commands on or off

Tips for Using Commands

  • Pause briefly before and after commands for better recognition
  • Speak commands clearly and distinctly
  • Commands work best when spoken at a natural pace
  • If a command is misrecognized as text, say "scratch that" to remove it
